Bloom

Austin Camerata and Ventana Ballet Present:

Bloom

Live Music. Ballet up-close. And a sneak preview of a world-premiere you'll see first!

Step inside a flower shop where the flowers aren't quite what they seem.

This spring, Ventana Ballet and the live musicians of Austin Camerata invite you to an intimate evening of ballet, live strings, and piano — performed just feet away from you at East Side Performing Arts in East Austin.

The night builds from some of the company's most beloved works to something no audience has ever seen: Act I of Flower Shop, a brand-new ballet set to an original piano quartet by American composer Michael Alec Rose. You'll be among the first to experience this world premiere before its full debut in September 2026.

Three nights only. A full bar by Tito's Handmade Vodka. And a VIP reception where you can meet the artists and hear directly from the composer.

THE EVENING:

7:00pm - Doors Open

ACT I — Highlights from the Ventana Ballet & Austin Camerata Repertoire
Four works from across the collaborative eight-season history, featuring live cello, piano, and string quartet — from the haunting intensity of Schubert to the soaring energy of Vivaldi.

ACT II — A Sneak Peek at Flower Shop
An exclusive first look at Ventana Ballet's next full-length ballet, Flower Shop, premiering September 2026. New choreography by AJ Garcia-Rameau. An original score by Michael Alec Rose. A story that starts in a flower shop — and goes somewhere you won't expect.

Cello Noir - Presented by Austin Camerata and The Cathedral

CELLO NOIR

One night. Four cellos. One voice. Music in shadow. Art in light.

Set in an immersive gallery space surrounded by visual art, Cello Noir will feature a quartet of cellists and guest vocalist Naala, who will move fluidly between classical and pop. The performance will explore the darker, more intimate edges of each genre—acoustic warmth meets amplified edge, clarity blurs into haze, and familiar melodies take on new, unexpected forms. Framed by art, the music becomes both contrast and conversation.

Cello Noir invites you into a space where genre dissolves and the cello speaks in many voices.

Tickets Include:

  • One-hour program

Variations on a Love Theme

Ventana Ballet & Austin Camerata hit the stage again together in Variations on Love Theme, but it’s not just another Valentine’s show for love-struck couples.
